Earlier this month, the Minnesota Vikings cut veteran punter Chris Kluwe, an outspoken advocate on behalf of gay marriage.
Some speculated that Minnesota's move was partly motivated by Kluwe's constant vocal support on the controversial subject.
And recently, while being interviewed on a Sirius XM NFL radio show, Vikings running back and former OU star Adrian Peterson was asked if he believed that to be the case.
"I'm sure the Vikings' organization did not release him based on that," Peterson said.
But after that, Peterson gave his personal opinion on the subject.
"To each his own. I'm not with it," Peterson said. "But I have relatives that, you know, are gay. I'm not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love them. But again, I'm not with that. That's not something that I believe in. But to each his own."
