Former OU running back Adrian Peterson didn’t have a great day on Sunday.
First, it was the right foot injury he suffered in the second quarter against the Baltimore Ravens. Then, following the Minnesota Vikings’ 29-26 loss, Peterson said that the officiating and fans in Baltimore on Sunday weren’t up to snuff.
Peterson called Ravens fans “the worst” and said the officiating crew blew “a million” calls.
The loss dropped the Vikings to 3-9 on the year.
“It definitely stung a lot, especially how the game went down,” Peterson told the Minnesota Star Tribune. “Some of the calls that were made. To me, it was kind of one of those games where it was like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe that was called.’
“Then, to top it off, they got the worst fans in the NFL throwing snowballs the entire fourth quarter like kids. It was a bad feeling, a bad experience.”
Peterson also voiced his displeasure via Twitter:
Wow talking about bad officiating & the worst fan base I’ve ever experience! They threw snow balls the entire 4q like lil kids. Smh
