Adrian Peterson talked to Jerry Jones about playing for Dallas Cowboys

Back in December of 2013, Adrian Peterson hinted that it might be cool to play in Texas someday.

Well, the Peterson-comes-home narrative has been re-ignited. In a video from ESPN.com released on Thursday, ESPN writer Don Van Natta Jr. discusses a June phone call Cowboys owner Jerry Jones received from Peterson when the Minnesota Vikings running back -- a native of Palestine, Texas -- indicated that he'd like to play for the Cowboys.

Van Natta Jr., who was working on a feature story about Jones at the time (you can read that story here), recalls being in Jones' suit at AT&T Cowboys Stadium in June for George Strait concert, when Jones got the call from AD.
