After brutal attack, woman finds love with paramedic

A Florida woman who was beaten and stabbed 32 times by an ex-boyfriend has now found love with a firefighter-paramedic who helped save her life.

Melissa Dohme, 21, had been slashed on her hands, arms, face and head when she was found by paramedic Cameron Hill, who responded to the 911 call on Jan. 24, 2012.

After months of rehab and traveling, Melissa met Cameron again at a church event. Their friendship then blossomed into romance, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

“When I look back on that night, I can’t think of it as all bad anymore because I met Cameron,” Dohme said. “He’s the one I’ve been waiting for. My fairy tale.”
