WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Wizards coach Randy Wittman says he feels like he's been with the team "for 20 years" — even though it's actually been just five.
That's how it feels when a team is rebuilding and losing. But Wittman says it makes it worth the while now Washington is back in the playoffs.
The Wizards clinched their first postseason berth since 2008 on Wednesday night. They can spend the final games of the regular season trying to improve their seeding in the Eastern Conference.
Al Harrington calls it a "new day" because the Wizards "had a losing culture" for so long.
