“Legislators discuss plans to fix crumbling Capitol” (News, Sept. 26) said the state Office of Management and Enterprise Services needs $38.2 million each year for four years to pay for foundation, plumbing and electrical repairs to the state Capitol building. Last month, that same agency said it saved $40 million by reducing employment and consolidating computer services. So why can't OMES use that $40 million to pay for the first year of Capitol repairs?
