Getting to know the American Hockey League: How attendance compares to the Blazers' crowds
The Oklahoma City Blazers averaged 6,508 fans during the 2008-2009 season. Although attendance dropped by an average of 2,205 from the 2007-2008 season, Oklahoma City led the CHL in attendance for a 17th consecutive year. If the Blazers had played in the American Hockey league this past season, they would’ve ranked sixth out of the 29-team Triple-A circuit.
