AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — The Air Force is investigating after a training plane crashed into an Air Force Academy hangar while landing.
Neither the cadet nor the instructor pilot aboard was injured when the T-53 Kadet 2 crashed on Monday.
Their names haven't been released.
Air Force spokeswoman Bekah Clark says training flights were grounded as of Tuesday morning, but it wasn't immediately known if they had resumed.
Clark did not know how badly the plane and the hangar were damaged.
The single-engine, low-wing T-53 is the Air Force version of the Cirrus SR20. The academy acquired 25 of the aircraft last year for about $244,000 each.
