An air quality alert has been issued for central Oklahoma Thursday, as Oklahoma's heat wave continues.

The Oklahoma City forecast from the National Weather Service is as follows:

Thursday: A slight chance of thunderstorms before 7 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Sunny and hot with a high near 100. East, northeast wind between 9 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low around 71. East, northeast wind between 6 and 11 mph.

Friday: Sunny and hot with a high near 102. East wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 74. East, northeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming south, southeast.

Saturday: Sunny and hot with a high near 102. South, southeast wind between 5 and 8 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 74.

Sunday: Sunny and hot with a high near 103.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 77.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 94.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 79.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 95.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 79.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 99.
