Alabama coach Nick Saban had some fun things to say at SEC Media Days on Thursday. Among them:

All about mindset

In case you forgot, Alabama lost in that wild finish to Auburn in the Iron Bowl, then was upset by OU in the Sugar Bowl. For a team not used to losing two games in a season, let alone back-to- back games, that had to sting.

Step 1 to checking ego: Put up posters like this in the locker room.

Media swing and miss

That's awful nice of Nick, I suppose. Alabama received more points in the media vote than all other schools combined. Auburn was a distant second.

Saban all about the kids

Circumstantial. Can't say Saban is wrong or right, but seems rather contradictory when coaches run players off all the time across college athletics.

Saban's not afraid to run a kid (or four) off. He's also keeping some around too.

Props to the BCS

The BCS wasn't all bad. Then again, Alabama played in three BCS championship games, so Saban doesn't have much to complain about.

Everybody gets a ribbon

A bunch of losing teams going bowling? That would really hurt the legitimacy of bowls, wouldn't it?

No UT offers

Deny. Deny. Deny. Charlie Strong's in office now, so it's in the past.

Never said anything about the agent, however.
