ALBUQUERQUE 8, REDHAWKS 6

Albuquerque right fielder Jamie Hoffman hit a two-out, three-run homer in the fourth to tie the game, and the Isotopes scored five more times over the next three innings to defeat Oklahoma City at Bricktown Ballpark.

ON THE MOUND

RedHawks starting pitcher Jordan Lyles, the top prospect in the Houston Astros organization, was roughed up in his first home start.

Lyles (0-2) pitched six innings, giving up six earned runs on eight hits. He has a 7.07 ERA through three starts this season.

AT THE PLATE

RedHawks catcher Carlos Corporan hit a solo homer in the seventh over the visiting bullpen behind right field and onto the berm, an estimated 400-foot shot.

Second baseman Anderson Hernandez followed Corporan's blast with a 2-run homer in the seventh over the right center field wall, but the RedHawks didn't score again.

ON THE WACKY SIDE

Albuquerque starting pitcher Randy Keisler pinch hit for Monday night's starter Alberto Bastardo in the top of the fifth inning and delivered an RBI double to give the Isotopes a 4-3 lead.

SHORTENED SERIES

The RedHawks concluded their three game series with the Isotopes on Monday night, losing two of the three. It was supposed to be a four-game series, but Sunday's scheduled game was moved to June 14 as part of a doubleheader to accommodate the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State baseball game.

UP NEXT

The RedHawks begin a four game home series tonight against Round Rock, a team that last year was the RedHawks. The Texas Rangers switched their Triple-A affiliate from Oklahoma City to Round Rock this season.

RH Sergio Perez (0-0) is scheduled to start for Oklahoma City against RH Neil Ramirez of Round Rock. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
