ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The younger crowd is being targeted as part of the Albuquerque Museum's latest campaign to share art with the community.
Starting in January, the museum says it will be offering special gallery experiences for preschoolers. The Art Start program is aimed at introducing children between the ages of 3 and 5 to art through stories, songs and play time.
Museum Director Cathy Wright says the more children are introduced to museums and art at an early age, the more they will likely engage with arts and culture as they grow.
The museum has two classes scheduled for January. The first is called "Hear the Beat." That will be followed by "All Things Shiny and Bright."
Classes are also planned for February and March.
