Embattled New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez looked like he was ready to put up a fight, but his battle against Major League Baseball, and the MLB Players Association looks to be over.
Rodriguez's attorneys dropped his lawsuit against MLB and the union on Friday, meaning that A-Rod will accept a 162-game suspension for the upcoming season.
Said the union in a statement: "Alex Rodriguez has done the right thing by withdrawing his lawsuit. His decision to move forward is in everyone's best interest."
