All-American Rejects ‘Move Along’ to be creative

"When the World Comes Down” is due out Dec. 16, and the boys from Stillwater and Edmond have been on the road since Nov. 6, playing clubs and theaters from Orlando, Fla., to Asbury Park, N.J., stopping off in New York long enough to rock "Late Night With Conan O’Brien” last week and "The Today Show” on Tuesday. It seems there’s just no rest for these homegrown rock ’n’ roll stars.

But singer/bassist Tyson Ritter, guitarist Mike Kennerty, drummer Chris Gaylor and guitarist Nick Wheeler will never grow too big or too busy to head back home for the holidays and turkey and dressing with the families. And they’re even sticking around long enough to dish up some power-pop dessert for their local fans tonight at the Diamond Ballroom.

"We usually route the tour to come through around Thanksgiving,” Wheeler said in a recent phone interview from his Florida hideaway.

It’s been more than three years since the Rejects released their double-platinum sophomore album, "Move Along,” which yielded three Top 10 singles ("Dirty Little Secret,” "Move Along,” "It Ends Tonight”) and kept them on a seemingly endless touring cycle for a year and a half.
