Swimmer of the year

Justin Wu

Norman North

Class: Sophomore

Event: 200 Freestyle

The story: Wu won four gold medals for the Timberwolves in the 6A state swimming championships, breaking the state record in the 200 freestyle and defending his state title in the 100 backstroke. He also was a member of Norman North's state champion 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay squads, the latter which also broke a state record.

Garrett Duncan

Edmond North

Class: Junior

Event: 200 Individual Medley

The story: Duncan finished third in both the 200 individual medley and the 100 breast stroke in the 6A swim meet, finishing less than a second behind state champion Colton Posey of Tulsa Union in the l100 breast stroke.

Tomas Elder

Norman North

Class: Senior

Event: 50 Freestyle

The story: Like Wu, Elder also captured four state titles in the 6A swimming championships. Elder was crowned state champ in the both the 50 and 100 freestyle. Elder also was a part of Norman North's state championship relay teams in the 200 freestyle and 200 medley.
