Edmond North

Class: Senior

Event: 100 Butterfly

The story: Fant posted third-place finishes in both the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke at the Class 6A state swimming championships.

Natanon Corbin

Norman

Class: Senior

Event: 100 Freestyle

The story: Corbin finished fourth in the 100 freestyle at the state swimming championships, just two seconds behind state champ Tomas Elder of Norman North.

Naresh Naik

Edmond Memorial

Class: Senior

Event: 500 Freestyle

The story: Naik won the state title in the 500 freestyle by more than 10 seconds over his nearest competitor. He also finished second to Justin Wu of Norman North in the 200 freestyle. Last year, Naik won the 100 freestyle and finished third in the 200 individual medley in the state swim meet.

Preston Selby

Harding Charter Prep

Class: Senior

Event: 100 Backstroke

The story: Selby won Class 5A state swimming titles in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke this season after capturing two state championships last season in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle.

Mason York

Kingfisher

Class: Senior

Event: 100 Breast stroke

The story: For the second straight year, York won both the 100 breast stroke and the 200 individual medley in the Class 5A state swimming championships. He finished his high school swimming career with five titles, also winning the 100 breast stroke as a sophomore.

Coach of the year

Kent Nicholson

Norman North

The story: Nicholson guided Norman North to the school's first state swimming crown. The Timberwolves won six of the 11 races in the 6A state swimming championships.
