All-city tennis: Freshman wins top player honors

Bishop McGuinness freshman Emma Land won the Class 3A No. 2 singles championship, and she helped the Irish win the school's eighth consecutive state title under new head coach Vicki Connelly . Land is The Oklahoman 's All-City Girls Tennis Player of the Year honors. She had a 29-3 record, the losses coming to fellow All-City first-teamer Leila Keihani of Putnam City North, the Class 5A No. 2 singles champion. Land...
