OWASSO — Owasso's Brandon Webb found the perfect school for his talents.

The Oklahoman All-State offensive lineman orally committed to Oklahoma State in June after an intense Bedlam recruiting battle between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Webb's relationship with Oklahoma State offensive line coach Joe Wickline helped him make his decision on where he wanted to play in college.

“I've gotten close to the o-line coach,” Webb said. “He can help me get to the next level.”

Webb said OSU's offense suits his skills.

“That's why they offered me,” Webb said. “I can be very versatile and play any position on the offensive line.”

Webb's father, Terry, was an All-American guard for OU in 1975.

“He'll be rooting for OSU while I'm here,” Brandon Webb told The Oklahoman in June when asked who his father would be cheering for.

Webb, who is the fifth-ranked offensive guard in the country in the latest Rivals rankings, said he looks forward to playing before thousands of people.

“It's gonna be different, but once you start to play it's all the same,” Webb said.
