Tulsa Union coach Kirk Fridrich gives his star receiver, Tracy Moore, some pretty lofty praise.

“He’s the best player in the state,” Fridrich said.

Even calling Moore the best player on his team would be high praise but Moore lived up to his coach’s praise, especially in the playoffs as he helped lead the Redskins to a Class 6A state championship.

“I feel like I had a good season,” Moore said. “I’ve got to credit the coaches, though. And I had a good team around me.”

Moore is understating it quite a big saying he had a good season.

He had 1,023 yards and 14 touchdowns receiving and threw for a score.

He played at tight end, wide receiver, and everywhere in between, creating matchup problems wherever he went.

“Where he can play and what he can do when he’s there makes Tracy so good,” said fellow all-stater Brian DeShane. “The throwing game for us this year was pretty much Tracy. Tracy can deliver every single time you want him to.

“His knack for making plays and sparking the offense is something that not very many people have.”

Moore will make his college decision in two weeks, choosing between three Big 12 schools — Oklahoma State, Kansas and Colorado.
