WEST ROLLS IN BOTH GAMES

The West dominated both Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State games Wednesday night at the Mabee Center, winning the small school game 84-54 and the large school game 73-51.

Anadarko's Lakota Beatty led all scorers in the large-school game, scoring 17 points. She gave West a lead it never relented with eight straight points to open the game. She later added eight points to open the fourth quarter.

The West's lead increased to 21-6 by the end of the first quarter.

But the East attempted to rally, going on a 13-0 run to get within 29-26 early in the third. The West, however, responded with a 14-3 run to regain control.

Guthrie's Melinda Murillo added 15 points, and Piedmont's Sarah Parker scored 13.

Tulsa Washington's Kaylan Mayberry led the East with nine points. Cushings' Che'Ron Lewis added eight.

In the small-school game, Fairview's Olivia Mason scored 21 points as the West used a 15-0 run in the second quarter to pull away.

Snyder's Marley Anderson scored 13 and Marlow's Ashley O'Dell added 11.

Dewar's Cheyenne Been scored 18 for the East, and Dale's Breck Clark scored 16.
