Alleged police impersonator arrested in Oklahoma City

Authorities in Oklahoma City have arrested a man on suspicion of impersonating a Tulsa police officer.

Authorities in Oklahoma City have arrested a man on suspicion of impersonating a Tulsa police officer.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested Barry Baker Jr. on Wednesday afternoon. Police accuse him of repeatedly impersonating a Tulsa police officer, sometimes calling himself Detective Matt Baker.

A Tulsa television station reports that Baker allegedly led officers on a chase as they tried to arrest him. He's being held on complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon, attempting to elude and impersonating a police officer.

Authorities did not know if Baker had an attorney.
