MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico international Raul Jimenez scored three goals in America's 4-0 win on Saturday over Puebla, maintaining the team's perfect record after three rounds of matches in Mexico's first division Apertura championship.

Atlas defeated Chiapas 4-2 and improved to second, with Monterrey in third after its 0-0 draw against Santos Laguna. Both played Saturday and are two points behind America.

In Sunday's game, Pablo Velazquez scored twice in Toluca's 2-1 victory over Pumas.

In other games this weekend, Queretaro defeated Pachuca 2-0, Leon won 4-0 against Morelia, Tijuana drew 1-1 with Tigres and Cruz Azul tied 0-0 against Veracruz.

Jimenez opened the scoring in the 16th minute, heading in from a tight angle, then added his second from the penalty spot in the 62nd and completed his hat trick in the 76th. Oribe Peralta got America's other goal in the 73rd.

Atlas came from behind twice against Chiapas. Arturo Gonzalez struck the first equalizer from a direct free kick in the 18th, after Matias Vuoso had put Chiapas ahead in the eighth. Emiliano Armenteros again put Chiapas ahead in the 41st, before a lofted shot two minutes before halftime by Rodrigo Millar brought Atlas level.
