American Airlines mechanics, stock clerks ratify new contract

Mechanics and stock clerks in the Transport Workers Union ratified new contracts with American Airlines on Wednesday.

The vote was close for mechanics and related workers — 50.25 percent yes versus 49.75 percent no. For clerks, it was 79 percent yes and 21 percent no.

In actual votes, the mechanics cast 4,776 yes and 4,728 no. Clerks voted 858 yes and 229 no.
