Dressing twins in matching outfits isn’t that unusual. And I’ve seen a few mothers and young daughters wearing similar clothing. But here’s a twist – American Eagle Outfitters is launching a matching clothing collection for dogs and their owners. And it’s for both women and men.

Could this be an April Fool’s Day joke? Do you really want to dress like your dog?

Anyway, the canine clothing line, called American Beagle Outfitters, features slimming doggy jeggings, fur-friendly bikinis and statement accessories, creating head-to-tail looks that “complement the unique style and personality of every pooch, big or small,” according to press information.

What’s more, the brand  unveiled a ”dogumentary” that captures the line from idea to creation.  Check out the video and collection at www.ae.com/dogs.

While you wait for the debut of American Beagle to hit retail stores later this spring,  sign up for the waitlist and receive 20 percent off American Eagle purchases, with $1 per order benefitting the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
