An affiliate of Aubrey McClendon’s America Energy Partners LP has qualified for up to $26.7 million in job creation payments over the next 10 years from Oklahoma through the state’s Quality Jobs Program.

Through the economic development program, American Energy Management Services LLC can reap quarterly cash payments from the state for creating up to 525 new jobs over 10 years.

According to information released Tuesday by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, American Energy Management Services is a “full-service administration management consulting firm that provides clients with expertise in the area of exploration and production for both oil and gas plays throughout the United States.”

The company is indirectly owned by McClendon and wife Kathleen McClendon, according to regulatory filings.

In a statement, Cory King, director of American Energy Partners, LP said the company was optimistic about its future growth in Oklahoma City.

“We are excited to be members of the vibrant OKC community,” King said. “With a strong business climate, responsible and pro-growth government, a talented workforce and a deep history in the energy business, Oklahoma City is likely the best place to start and grow an oil and gas business today.”
