CLEVELAND (AP) — A failed engine on an American Airlines flight to Dallas forced it to turn around shortly after takeoff in Cleveland.

An airport official in Cleveland says the MD-80 landed Friday afternoon without incident.

The flight was carrying 139 passengers and crew.

A spokesman for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport says people on the ground reported seeing a problem just after the flight left.
