American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show continues through Saturday

Contestants from around the globe have gathered at State Fair Park for the American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show.

The show, which continues through Saturday, is the premiere event for American quarter horse exhibitors ages 18 and younger from around the world. Riders must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines.

More than 800 exhibitors and 1,178 horses comprising more than 2,500 entries are competing for 35 world championships at this year’s show, according to the association.
