Amtrak adds 14 Mich.-Ill. trains during holidays

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Amtrak says it's adding 14 trains on its Illinois-Michigan service during the Christmas and New Year's holiday period.

Amtrak says it's adding one eastbound and one westbound train daily between Chicago and the University of Michigan campus community of Ann Arbor on the Wolverine line. Amtrak regularly has three round-trip runs between Detroit and Chicago, with stops in Ann Arbor.

The extra service will run this Sunday, as well as Dec. 26, 27, 29 and 31 and Jan. 1 and 3.
