WARRENSBURG, Mo. (AP) — Rail damage from recent flash flooding in Missouri could cause weekend delays for Amtrak's Missouri River Runner passenger train.

Amtrak said in a release Saturday that Union Pacific is repairing a section of rail line east of Warrensburg. Amtrak says trains are operating, but that significant delays are possible on the Missouri River Runner, which runs between Kansas City and St. Louis.

Amtrak says it plans to resume regularly scheduled service when repairs are complete.
