Amtrak service restored from DC to Delaware
WASHINGTON (AP) — Amtrak says it has restored service between Washington and Wilmington, Del., following a power outage.
The rail service said normal service had been restored about 1 p.m. Tuesday. Two of three tracks were open, with repairs continuing on a third.
The service disruption was caused by downed wires south of Aberdeen, Md.
The New York Yankees said they canceled practice at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday due to train cancelations between Baltimore and New York. The Yankees were in Baltimore on Monday to play the Orioles.
The outage also disrupted service on the MARC Penn Line in Maryland between Perryville and Aberdeen. A transit spokesman said riders should monitor MARC's website to see if service will be disrupted for the afternoon rush hour.
