Six-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen was transported via air ambulance to Craig Hospital in Englewood Wednesday morning to begin rehabilitation for a severed spinal cord, the Denver Post reports.
"I feel good, I feel great." the Colorado native told reporters.
She said it feels good to be back home in Colorado and gave a special shout out to Cherry Creek High School.
"I can definitely feel the thoughts and prayers, keep them coming," she said.
