Animal adoption event scheduled in Norman

In celebration of the University of Oklahoma’s homecoming, the Henderson Scholars Program will sponsor "Sooner Mascots.” The event from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday will feature adoptable pets from Pets and People Humane Society and Homeward Bound Pug Rescue and Adoption.
There will be giveaways, free snacks and goodies for people and pets.
Any donations received will go to the Pets and People and Homeward Bound.
The event will take place outside the Henderson Tolson Cultural Center, 1335 Asp Ave., just southeast of the football stadium. For more information, call 325-0850.
