Paws for Life and Edmond’s Animal Welfare Department will use the donations to make baskets to go with each of the cats and dogs that are adopted as part of the "A Home for the Holidays” promotion.

Mary Robertson, president of Paws for Life, said the baskets of goodies are to help the animals get settled in their new homes.

Treats and canned and dry food, toys, chew toys that are not rawhide, shampoo, brushes or combs, leashes, collars, bowls, mats and coupons or gift certificates for grooming and training are suggested donations.

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter at 2424 Old Timbers Drive near Covell Road and Interstate 35. For more information, call 216-7615.
