Two horses, a kangaroo, a turtle and a rabbit were among the pets blessed at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church during one of the metro area's more unusual church services.

The Oklahoma City church brings the animals inside the sanctuary to participate in a service with their owners. The event is held each year in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.

This year about 100 animals attended the service with their owners.

The church, whose unofficial motto is “we're not your ordinary Episcopal Church,” started bringing the animals inside two years ago.
