Davenport’s Archery started small but now has customers from all corners of state

PRAGUE — It’s a busy time at Davenport’s Archery.

The first archery season for antelope is now under way in the Panhandle. The historic archery bear season opens Oct. 1 in southeastern Oklahoma.

And deer archery season – the biggest customer base for Davenport’s Archery – also opens Oct. 1.

Things are much different now than when Eugene Davenport opened his archery shop...
