ARDMORE — Police looking at allegations of abuse at a day care center have turned their report over to the district attorney.

Capt. Eric Hamblin said the report was delivered to the district attorney's office Tuesday. Officers had investigated allegations of verbal and physical abuse at the Crystal Rock Cathedral's Kiddie Kollege.

A child's mother made a report to police after another day care worker told her about what she believed was abusive behavior by another worker. The woman had captured video on her cell phone, according to police and officials with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. DHS is also investigating the allegations.

The day care suspended the worker accused of abusing the child while investigating the allegations. The worker later resigned, according to a spokesman for the church.

Since February 2007, the one-star day care center has reported few violations during visits by DHS staff.

Since the abuse complaint was made April 10, investigators with DHS have been at the day care twice.

Too bad the day care owners/managers don't track the caregivers more closely...I know many years ago when my two children went to daycare...some of the workers were despicable, today, I expect better for the children since people are hopefully more educated, but guess some still slip through the cracks!
