The Oklahoma City Blazers received a goal from an unlikely source in defenseman Jason Seerey, who was forced to play forward with Robin Gomez out because of injury.

The problem? Nobody else lit the red light as the Blazers dropped a 3-1 Central Hockey League decision to Arizona on Sunday night at the Ford Center.

Oklahoma City has lost three straight games and is 1-5-1 in its last seven contests.

Seerey’s goal was his first of the season. After suffering a neck injury last week, Seerey’s energy since returning has been one of the lone bright spots during a rough stretch for the Blazers.

"We just have to keep being aggressive,” Seerey said. "I prefer playing defense, but you have to do whatever you can to help the club.
