FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn has named a former Razorbacks pitcher as a volunteer assistant coach.

Van Horn said Wednesday that Christian Kowalchuk will become a volunteer assistant after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at UA.

Kowalchuk was a left-handed pitcher for Arkansas in 2009 and 2010, going 3-0 with a 2.77 ERA in his career. He will assist pitching coach Dave Jorn and also work with hitters and outfielders.
