Two die Saturday on Oklahoma roads

Brandon Hatfield, 28, of Little Rock, Ark., and Billy Ray Wofford, 66, of Tulsa, died Saturday in separate accidents on Oklahoma roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Shortly after 4 p.m., Wofford was driving west on State Highway 105 in Lincoln County. At County Road 3310, he attempted to make a left turn without signaling the turn, troopers said.

Another vehicle also westbound on SH 105 tried to pass Wofford’s vehicle but it collided into the turning vehicle’s driver’s side door.

Wofford, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, troopers said.

Three passengers in the car Wofford was driving and the driver of the second vehicle were treated at nearby hospitals and released, troopers said.

Two people died Saturday in separate accidents on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Shortly before 1 a.m., Hatfield was walking along 19th Street near Prairie Road about two miles east of Stillwater, troopers said. He was struck by an eastbound car that was driven by William Allen, 33, of Stillwater.

Hatfield died at the scene, troopers said, and the accident remains under investigation. has disabled the comments for this article.
