MONTICELLO, Ark. (AP) — The University of Arkansas at Monticello has named the school's first full-time assistant baseball coach.

UAM said Wednesday that Mark Jelks has been hired after spending the past two years as an assistant coach at Arkansas Tech.

Jelks also worked as an undergraduate assistant at the University of the Ozarks — where he played for three seasons — and was an assistant coach at Bryant High School. He also worked as director of baseball operations at the University of Central Arkansas.
