Arkansas punter Irwin-Hill named to Ray Guy list

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — University of Arkansas punter Sam Irwin-Hill has been named to the Ray Guy Award preseason watch list.

The award is named after College Football Hall of Famer and former NFL punter Ray Guy and is presented each year to the player selected as the nation's top punter.

Irwin-Hill will be a senior. He averaged 44.3 yards per punt last season and led the Southeastern Conference with 20 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Ten semifinalists for the award will be announced Nov. 14 and three finalists will be announced Nov. 24 The winner will be announced Dec. 11.
