JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — The Arkansas State women's basketball team is on the road for a first round game in the Women's National Invitational Tournament at Texas-El Paso.
The Red Wolves left Jonesboro on Wednesday for Friday night's game against the Miners at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.
ASU is 22-11 overall while U-TEP is 24-7.
ASU and U-TEP have played six times previously with ASU winning five of those games.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday with the winner advancing to the second round against the winner of Friday's Cal State Bakersfield-Saint Mary's of California game.
