Arkansas wraps up fall baseball intrasquad games

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas' baseball team has concluded its fall schedule of intrasquad games with Randall Fant throwing seven shutout innings.

The White team with Fant on the hill on Saturday beat the Cardinal, 5-1, at Baum Stadium.

Fant, a senior lefthander, struck out seven and gave up just two hits. Over his two starts in the Cardinal-White Series, Fant tossed 15 shutout innings, allowed just six hits and struck out nine.

Out of the White bullpen, Brandon Moore tossed a scoreless eighth inning, while Ryne Stanek finished the game in the ninth, striking out one and allowing a run.

The White won the series, 4 games to 2.

Now the Razorbacks wait until the regular season opener on Feb. 15 against Western Illinois at Baum Stadium.
