Arrest made in Oklahoma City's 36th homicide of 2014

A man died after a fight at an Oklahoma City nightclub, and an arrest has been made in what is being investigated as the city’s 36th homicide of 2014.

Jeremiah D. Rafford, 27, of Oklahoma City, died in a fight at The Cove Club, a nightclub in the 1500 block of SE 15 about midnight Friday, police reported.

Police arrested David Bales, 32, of Oklahoma City. Bales struck Rafford, resulting in his death, according to a police report.

Bales was booked into Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of murder, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.
