Auditions set for ‘Detroit’
Carpenter Square Theatre is holding auditions for the play “Detroit.” Readings from the script are from 2:30 to 5 p.m. July 12, with callbacks set for 2:30 p.m. July 13, at the theater’s rehearsal hall, 806 W Main.
Actors should bring a resume and an up-to-date photo. A headshot is preferred, but a good snapshot will suffice.

Family of artists
EDMOND — Six artists will show a variety of creativity at the Fine Arts Institute of Edmond from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the “Mix of Six” exhibit.
The Moad family of painters exhibits a wide range of subject matter, from colorful landscapes, animal portraits and impressionist scenes to collaborative art, ceramic planters and driftwood sculptures.

Chickasaw artists display work
ADA — Two well-known Chickasaw native artists, Drue Ridley and Erin Shaw, have their contemporary art paintings on exhibit at separate locations in south-central Oklahoma.
Through October, Drue Ridley will be featured at the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center in Davis, and Erin Shaw’s art will be featured at the Chickasaw Visitor Center in Sulphur. Both Ridley and Shaw create unique pieces of art by using diverse resources of painting.
