DETROIT (AP) — The five-day Art X Detroit festival returns to the city's Midtown section this week.
Beginning Wednesday and running through Sunday, visual art installations; dance, musical and theatrical performances; and literary readings are to be shown and staged at 15 cultural venues.
Art X Detroit is a biennial event that debuted in 2011.
Venues for the festival's 2013 edition include the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Detroit Institute of Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Symphony Orchestra Music Box and College for Creative Studies.
Art X Detroit is funded by the Kresge (KREZ'-gee) Foundation.
