This is not exactly what we hoped for. An 0-2 Oklahoma versus an 0-2 Oklahoma State in a Big 12 Tournament game that is mere matinee to the big Missouri-Kansas showdown tonight.

Star of the game: New Orleans designated hitter Brandon Larson hit a three-run homer in the third inning.

Other stars: New Orleans first baseman Larry Broadway had two singles and a walk in four plate appearances.

Turning point: Larson's homer, after the RedHawks had led 2-0.

Key stat: The RedHawks were shut out on three hits over the final seven innings.

Injuries: Texas Rangers reliever Antonio Alfonseca, who is on the disabled list, might make an injury rehab appearance Sunday or Monday for the RedHawks.

Noteworthy: If Texas outfielder Adrian Brown clears waivers, he is expected to accept an assignment with the RedHawks.
