Junior League of Oklahoma City, KWTV NEWS 9, Bank of Oklahoma, Barnes & Noble and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation have partnered to collect thousands of books for local nonprofits throughout the Oklahoma City metro area.

Oklahoma City area residents are asked to provide new or gently used books or bookstore gift cards to encourage Oklahomans to enhance their reading skills. Books for all ages can be dropped off at any Bank of Oklahoma location, Barnes & Noble stores, Junior League Remarkable Shop or Junior League Headquarters through June 30.

Bank of Oklahoma also will provide a $1,500 donation to the Junior League for its Changing Lives through Literacy initiative.

The book drive will allow the Junior League to provide age-appropriate books to children and adults of our community to encourage them to better their reading skills.

Books will be distributed to any nonprofit or community organization that needs books. Junior League of Oklahoma City will distribute the books to nonprofit and community organizations in the Oklahoma City metro area. Organizations interested in requesting books can contact Melba Frazier by e-mail at kenniefrazier@cox.net.
