Redrock Canyon Grill offers a Southwestern flair

Customers may go to Redrock Canyon Grill for the breathtaking view of Lake Hefner and the nightly sunset celebration, but general manager Aaron Soward said they return because of the fresh food and consistent service.

With a decidedly southwestern flair, Redrock gives its patrons quality food with a patio and view that is repeatedly voted the best in Oklahoma City. And each night at sunset, a cow bell is rung, and everyone claps as the sun dips below the lake horizon.

Redrock has been in its Oklahoma City lake location for more than 10 years, and the restaurant also has a location off Riverside Parkway in Tulsa. Redrock Canyon Grill also has restaurants in Kansas, Virginia, Maryland and Florida.

From a stuffed poblano pepper or Cibolo ranch calamari to start, to West Texas guacamole, Big Bend tortilla soup or Persimmon Hill meatloaf, the Southwest influence on the menu is unmistakable.

"Everything is prepared fresh every day," Soward said about the restaurant in Oklahoma City. "We have a great location, but it takes more than that to keep people coming back. We have quality food, ingredients and service and an ability to deliver what our guests want on a consistent basis."

One unique aspect of Redrock is that the restaurant embraces the concept of an open kitchen, where patrons can watch as their meals are being prepared.

"When a customer orders our salmon, they can be confident it will taste the same as when they have had it before," Soward said. "It is that consistency in food quality and service our customers have really come to expect."
