Fullback Matt Clapp did not play Saturday, still feeling the effects of the sprained ankle he suffered last week.
Tight end Brody Eldridge , touted by coaches for his blocking ability, subbed in at fullback when the Sooners went to the I-formation.
“He’s that kind of athlete,” OU coach Bob Stoops said. “He can catch, he can run, he’s physical. He’s really a versatile guy.”
